Problem Solving
Understand what went wrong.
Common resin questions, answered by testing one variable at a time.
Why are my resin flowers flattening?
Start with the resin's working stage: flowers placed while the mixture is still too fluid can lose their shape. Make a small test with the same resin, pigments, room temperature and timing before changing several variables at once.
Why did my effect spread too much?
Check viscosity and the moment you poured. A thinner mix or early application gives pigments more time to travel. Test later in the working window and record room temperature alongside your result.
Why is the surface still tacky?
Check the product's exact ratio, whether it is specified by weight or volume, thorough mixing, minimum cure temperature and humidity. Do not add extra hardener to compensate; follow the manufacturer's instructions.
About
Art, learning and discovery.
I'm Lida, the artist behind LISINCULT. I started resin art six years ago after my children left home. What began as a creative hobby grew into a dedicated practice of experimenting, creating and teaching.
Based in Muscat, Oman, I share original resin and mixed media artwork, practical tips and technique-focused workshops. My YouTube channel explores how each effect works, one layer at a time.
